You may paint the rock anytime on/after 5pm the night BEFORE your reservation day/date. The reservation of consecutive days is not allowed.

The purpose of the Spirit Rock is to have an interactive, visible means of communication for the school community.  The Spirit Rock is available to be painted by individual students, school sponsored student groups, or parents/families of our students.  All messages must be school or student related and not of a personal or political nature.  The school also reserves the right to paint over a message that is inconsistent with these guidelines.  School staff will regularly monitor the Spirit Rock just as they monitor bulletin boards, etc.

Paintings must be in accordance with the ideals set forth in the UCPS Code of Student Conduct (available on the district website).  Students found in violation of these policies will be subject to discipline in accordance with the Code of Student Conduct.

The group or individual painting the Spirit Rock assumes liability for any individual or member of the group or organization who may be injured and/or for actions associated with the activity, including damage to clothing and personal property, and will hold the school, UCPS, and the Board of Education harmless from the same.
